In the evening of August 9 th,2007 , “Olympic Stars Security Fund”held a charity party in Hilton Hotel in Beijing. People were deeply impressed by a colourful ink and wash picture of great size Dream of Lotus there. They were all moved by its fresh colours and mysterious atmosphere. It is the work of Mr. Dong Benyi, well-renowned Chinese traditional painting master, and Mrs. Eliška Bartek, famous Swiss oil painting master. It combines the eternal feeling of ink and wash with focused oil painting character perfectly and achieves great art effect as a whole. The great picture embodies the common wish —harmonious society and green life - of the two artists from China and Germany.-
With the development of global economy, the conflict between resources and environment sharpens. It becomes the call of all human beings to protect environment and take care of the earth. Art is also reliable for this, for it is closely related with nature. When Mrs. Bartek came to Beijing,China,she was greatly attracted by water and mountains, grass and trees in China with the old civi1ization.Her inborn affection of western art was always looking for compatible chance to combine and cooperate.Unti1 she was introduced to Mr. Dong through Mr. Wang Liming, her heart got relaxation. After happily appreciating wonderful pictures of great water and mountains, flowers and stones in Dong s atelier, she was touched deeply and decided to work together. Thus “Green World ” project comes.
